No more stitches!

Well the day has finally come! It has been 9 days since I got stitches and my piece of paper said I could get them removed after 9 or 10 days; so you better believe I picked 9 haha. Gah having stitches is so annoying; especially on you right index finger!! The doctor said it healed up perfect and there is no infection (um yeah because I basically cleaned the shit out of my finger 2 times a day!). Before I went back up to see my friends at Urgent Care I got bit by the cleaning bug. I cleaned my house... and the neighbors house. I am kinda house sitting, but my friend is ACTUALLY house sitting. I got an extra key to do laundry over there from the neighbors because my washing machine broke. I didn't TOTALLY clean their house just some main traffic areas, I did some dishes and washed her rungs in the kitchen and bathroom. I don't mind helping out since they are helping us out so much with the washing machine dilemma. Going out to smoke with Jesse then bed :)

Sleep schedules & washing machines

I have gotten into such a bad habit with Adelina's sleep schedule. She is still sleeping through the night (except for that random night about once a week). She went to bed tonight around 12am. I just loose track of time and I really like to clean at night and hang out with my friend Tiffany. So in other news my neighbors went out of town and I'm gonna help Tiffany keep an eye on the place. Plus they gave me an extra key so I can use their washing machine (mine broke 2 days ago). We are going to be getting one this paycheck but it is nice that now I won't have to feel like I am bugging them even though I know I'm not. ::sigh:: okay Time for bed it is 1:36am!!

Well I really got a lot done today! I woke up with Ade at 6am, went to a doctor's appointment at 2pm, came home and made 3 phone calls I've been putting off and then cleaned! It was pretty hot today but tomorrow is supposed to be even more hot 110! Today was apparently the seventy-second day without rain and the first day of summer. Also today Adelina is 18 months old. So yeah the washing machine randomly broke. It was in the spin cycle and started making this clicking knocking metal on metal sound. Jesse has it all pulled apart in the kitchen and we have set up a barrier to keep her out. I wish he wouldn't have waited to start until 10:15 pm :-/ I watched a new show tonight called Combat Hospital. It was good, but I'm gonna give it time because this was the first episode. Alright bye for now!

It sure has been a while!

Wow I guess I forgot I had a blog or something... oh no wait.. I have a wild toddler. Adelina Rose is 17 months (18 months on the 21st). She can be quite a handful. Today was Father's Day and I felt really bad because Jesse and I spent the majority of the time fussing. See, I had to get stitches in my right index finger and a Tetanus shot in my left arm on Friday. Ade got a hold of the scissors and when I went to grab them she cut me; a story for future family gatherings I'm sure. Blood went everywhere and Jesse had JUST LEFT with the car! I called his friend and said "When Jesse gets there please have him come right back home I have an emergency!!!". When Jesse walked back in the door 5 minutes later I screamed "OMFG HELP ME!". I was more or less freaking the fuck out. Blood on the wall, drops where I walked, soaked napkin just all around crime scene haha. So we went to urgent care and thankfully my tendon was not damaged but the doctor said it got "into your fatty layer pretty good. We will get you fixed up with some stitches." I am really happy that I had to get stitches because Jesse had said "just put a band-aid on it.We don't need to go!" Yeah. Right. I hate how men think that everything has to be toughed through. Um no freakin' way it is 2011 and I have insurance. I have to find my camera charger and put a picture up tomorrow.

When Everything Is Clean

When everything is clean in the house I feel so much better. I got a lot done tonight because I just don't feel tired... probably has something to do with the two naps I took today. I got dishes done, laundry and scooped the cat litter. I feel like mornings that I wake up to a clean house are just so much more relaxing. I wish there was some way to change my habits so that as soon as I get done using something I could put it back into its proper place.
I have always been horrible at cleaning as I go. That was the main problem when I was a waitress too; cleaning as I go. Then when I was a waitress at Folks in Georgia it was called "pre-busing". You had to ask the guests at your table "May I clear any of these dishes out of your way?". One reason was so that there wouldn't be a ton of things to clean once the guests finished their meal. The main reason for pre-busing was actually psychological believe it or not. When the guests are surrounded by dirty dishes at the end of the meal they are less likely to order dessert because they are visually reminded by how much they just ate and spent. When people order desserts it ups the price of the meal and thus ups the 15% of the tip on the total they (should) receive.
I do pretty well at keeping Adelina's room clean. I think it is because I feel so bad when it is a wreck and she can't clean it herself. I almost feel as though I am being disrespectful to her or something... its weird. I tend to clean more at night like tonight. Jesse hates this because at night time he just wants to relax. I have always been a night owl I guess that is why I am up at 3:47am! I should get some sleep.
